Automated National Tour Permits
Great Rivers Council is pleased to offer an automated National Tour Permit program to units to ease the difficulty to both unit leaders and council staff in generating permits for your units. In order to use the NTP program, you must have Microsoft Access on your computer and access to a printer. Although very easy to use, it is strongly encouraged that unit leaders review the tutorial in order to use the program efficiently. The tutorial will assist you in entering data in the proper format and point out many of the pitfalls and simple errors that can occur with this version of the program. Once you enter the data and check it, one need simply have the Tour Leader and Unit Committee Chair sign the printed form and either mail or fax the Verification Sheet and both signed pages of the National Tour Permit to the Council Service Center. To obtain the tour permit software click here. Depending on your operating system version, you may receive a security warning such as this: It is recommended that you choose 'Save', and place it on your desktop for easy access. If you choose 'Open', then you will be unable to save your data and retreive it in the future should you need to obtain additional information to complete the permit. It is strongly encouraged that unit leaders review the tutorial in order to use the program correctly.
