Workplace Giving
Support Scouting through Workplace Giving!
A workplace giving campaign is an employer provided program that offers employees the ability to make regular donations to eligible charities through a payroll system. In most instances, employees can choose to donate to any valid 501(c)3 nonprofit they like as long as the organization is eligible to receive tax deductible gifts. An ideal campaign requires leadership, employee volunteers, a plan and charities to support. Many Campaigns today are supported by online giving systems.
United Way
The Great Rivers Council is generously supported by several United Way's within the territory of our Council’s service area. United Way donors have supported and contributed to our mission of improving the lives of boys for many decades. We are thankful for our long-standing partnerships with United Way of Adair County/Northeast Missouri, United Way of Audrain County, Callaway County United Way, Central Missouri United Way of Jefferson City, United Way of Mark Twain Area, Sedalia-Pettis County United Way, United Way of Randolph County and United Way of Saline.County.
Combined Federal Campaign #XXXXXX
CFC is a national workplace giving drive for employees in the Federal workplace. The Combined Federal Campaignis the local campaign for Federal employees in the Great Rivers Council. The CFC donor designation number for Great Rivers Council is #XXXXX
Missouri State Employee Charitable Campaign #XXXX
The Missouri State Employee Charitable Campaign is another workplace charitable-giving program that offers state employees the opportunity to contribute to charities they support. The donor designation number for Great Rivers Council is #XXXX.
These workplace giving campaigns allow a donor to make a contribution to the charities of his/her choice. In many cases, the Council only receives donations that are specifically designated by a benefactor. Many corporations match gifts that are made by their employees to the Boy Scouts. Some companies even give financial contributions on behalf of the time you give as a volunteer. This means that for each hour you volunteer, your employer may donate money to the Boy Scouts of America.
America's Charities
We are also a member of America's Charities. America’s Charities, a tax-exempt, not-for-profit organization, has as its core business to raise and distribute funds for charities through workplace giving campaigns, and to help employers conduct campaigns in the most effective and efficient manner.
Your Volunteer Time is Money
Numerous local companies recognize volunteer time through the donation of cash grants to non-profits in which their employees volunteer. This means that for each hour of your volunteer time, your employer may donate money to the Boy Scouts of America. Check with your HR department to find out the company requirements. If you know of more companies who have a program, please contact Greg Baker at the Council Service Center.
