Friends of Scouting is the annual giving campaign for the Boy Scouts of America. In Great Rivers Council, BSA, the campaign begins in January and ends in early June. During this time teams of volunteers talk to parents who have children in Scouting programs and members of the community asking them to support Scouting.
The $320,000 raised in Friends of Scouting accounts for 25% of the income needed to provide Scouting programs to the residents of our 33 county service area.
