Summer Camp Staff

Are you tired of the same old routine?

Did you know that the Great Rivers Council, Boy Scouts of America operates two Scout camps? Each of these offers opportunities for a variety of summer camp staff jobs. Most Scout camp staff are at least 15 years of age, but there are a few select jobs for youth who are a year or so younger. There exists a limited number of Counselor in Training positions.

Scouts age 14 can apply for a one or more week as a Counselor in Training "internship" at the camp of his choice for any camp session.

Scouts and Scouters who have a special interest in Cub Scout Program are encouraged to apply for staff positions at Camp Thunderbird. This shortened period provides an excellent opportunity for those unable to work a complete summer.

The Boy Scouts of America is an equal opportunity employer that hires both females and males, as well as people of all ages and ethnic groups, diverse cultures, and mixed abilities.

Applications for camp staff can be secured at the council service center or on-line. Interviews are required for all positions including returning staff members. Complete the above application and forward to David Harris.
